Our School

Dear Parent,

Thank you for your interest in Merryhill Elementary and Middle School in Milpitas. I want to take this opportunity to share with you a little bit about our school.

For over 25 years, Merryhill School has been a premier private school in the Bay Area. Our mission is to ensure that our students are academically successful, confident in their ability to succeed, and capable of applying their skills to new challenges.

We follow the Nobel Learning Communities curriculum, which was developed by a team of highly-skilled experts in curriculum design, instruction and assessment. Our curriculum focuses on building fundamental skills in reading, writing, and math, beginning in junior kindergarten (our program for children four years of age). Our instructors integrate 21st century themes and skills, such as social responsibility, accountability and information and media literacy, into every subject they teach.

To improve students’ communication and social skills, we host events such as the Big Brother/Big Sister Club. This is an opportunity for our older students to work together with our younger students on reading, writing and special projects. The program teaches students the importance of compassion and working with others.

We also believe in creating global students by exposing them to different cultures in their communities. Our Giving Without Walls service learning program allows our first through eighth grade students to identify a community service need, investigate issues, research and evaluate possible solutions, develop and implement a plan of action, and assess their results.

Please feel free to contact us to schedule a private tour. We look forward to meeting with you, gaining an understanding of your child’s educational needs, and discussing how we can work together to meet them.

Sincerely,

Quinn Letan
