Links to Learning

Links to Learning, our preschool curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, takes advantage of a child’s readiness to learn with activities that are fun, challenging and engaging. Links to Learning is organized into five developmental stages incorporating eight subject areas. At each stage of the preschool journey, we introduce new concepts and skills while reviewing and re-enforcing existing skills.

Language & Literacy

Language & Literacy

We inspire a love of reading and language, encouraging communication and vocabulary development. We create a literacy-rich environment and introduce children to a wide range of stories, letters and words.
Mathematics

Mathematics

We give children hands-on experience with math concepts such as pattern, size, shape and quantity. They learn the foundations of addition and subtraction, and different ways to compare quantities.
Social-Emotional

Social-Emotional

Children discover how to share and respect the feelings of others, while learning how they fit into the local community and larger world. Teachers use puppets, games, books and problem-solving activities to teach and reinforce character education.
Wellness

Wellness

We help children develop mobility, balance and fine motor skills through dance, games and physical activities. Basic nutritional concepts are introduced to help children make healthy lifestyle choices.
Creative Expression

Creative Expression

As early as infancy, we encourage children to create sounds, explore textures and discover music and art in various ways. Through music, art and imaginative play, children learn self-expression and creative thinking.
Science & Social Studies

Science & Social Studies

We introduce different types of families and community helpers, explore geography and culture, and create fun science experiments. Science and social studies commence with our Beginner program.
Citizens of the World

Citizens of the World

Starting with our Beginner program, we integrate Spanish throughout the day to give children a head start on mastering a second language. We also focus on awareness of diverse cultures and traditions around the globe.
Digital Interactions

Digital Interactions

Beginning in our Intermediate program, children learn about different uses for technology and its evolution. We also review relevant terminology and provide opportunities for students to use technology for creative expression.
My Fun and Busy Month How we link learning at school to learning at home

We take parent communications very seriously. When parents and teachers work as partners the learning experience becomes richer and more meaningful to the child. Each month you will receive a folder containing information that will help you understand your child’s progress.
