The month of August is always amazing. Summer is coming to an end and the school is filled with the buzz of a new school year starting soon.
Our children have been busy enjoying in-house field trips, which included visits from a snow-cone truck where we each got to choose our favorite flavors, and a very silly juggling magician. Our school-aged children have taken daily field trips throughout our community to such places as the Lion Habitat, Natural History Museum and local pools for fun in the sun. Our final week of camp will wrap up with the theme “Pay it Forward.” Our students are finding ways to give back by making and donating pet blankets to the Henderson Animal Shelter, as well as collecting and donating gently used baby items to Safe Nest. What wonderful summer we have had with your children. I cannot believe that it is almost over already.
If your child is in need of new uniforms, you may visit their website at CampusClubUniforms.com and input the school code MHLV1022 to see the different options available and place your order, which can be delivered to the school for your convenience. You may also join us here on campus on Friday, July 31st, from 9:00-11:00 AM, for an on-site uniform shopping day. This is especially helpful if you are not sure of your child’s size and would like to see your options in person. We also have some gently used options available. Please see Mrs. Louis-Jacques or me for more information.
Our school will be closed from August 10-14, 2015. We will spend that time cleaning, organizing, and getting ready for your little ones to return on Monday, August 17, 2015.
We would like to invite you to attend our Open House/Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 14, from 9-11 am. At this time, you will be able to see your child’s new class and meet his/her teacher.
We have an exciting year planned for you and your family.
The first event to bring to your attention will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6:30-7:30 PM. This will be our annual Back to School Night. Your child’s teacher will be sharing with you an outline for the school year, including her goals and expectations for the class. This will also be a great opportunity for you to get to know your child’s teacher a little better and ask any questions you might have.

Hot lunches will be available to you again this year through Wholesome Tummies. Please check with Mrs. Louis-Jacques or myself for more information.
