Spring is officially upon us this month! Students will be learning all about plant life, gardening, and various spring topics. They will take this learning outside to plant flowers and vegetables in the school garden. Some other fun springtime activities the students will partake in are kite flying, Earth Day, and releasing live ladybugs into our garden.

We will also be celebrating Week of the Young Child April 11-15. Here is a glimpse of how we will be celebrating:
April 11: Friendship Day: Students will be making a friendship fruit salad and friendship bracelets.
April 12: International Day/Family Pot Luck: Students will wear their native dress from their homeland. We also welcome parents to bring an authentic food dish to share from their homeland.
April 13: Reading Day: Students are encouraged to bring a book from home to share and dress as their favorite storybook character. We will also have a visit from our local librarian.
April 14: Sports Day: Students are encouraged to represent their favorite sport team.
April 15: Pajama Day: Students are able to wear their pajamas and bring in a teddy bear from home.
**We will also have our final Parent/Teacher Conferences of the school year on Monday, April 25th.
