The school year is now over and it is time for us to gear up for a heat-filled summer.
Please note that we have an early dismissal on Wednesday, June 1st, at 11:45 AM and are closed on Thursday and Friday, June 2nd and 3rd.
Many of your children will be moving to different classes for the summer months. If your child is changing rooms, this change will occur on Monday, June 6th and you should have received a notice in your child’s belongings. If you have any questions regarding your child’s placement for the summer, please check with Mrs. Louis-Jacques or myself.
There is a slight change in scheduling during the summer months that you will want to take note of. Extended care runs from 7:00-9:00 AM and 3:00-6:00 PM. If your child is not enrolled for the extended care program, please do not drop off any earlier than 8:45 AM. Also, if your child is enrolled for half day schedules, those will run from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Please note, that once the month has begun and your account has been billed, there will be no changes to your child’s schedule permitted for the remainder of that month.
Please remember to apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before arriving to school. If you would like it to be reapplied in the afternoon, please bring in a bottle of sunscreen, marked with your child’s name and we would be happy to do so. Please note, that when the temperature reaches 100 degrees or higher, we will not be going outside on those days. We will be using the kindergarten room as an indoor activity room instead.
A letter from your child’s teacher will be coming home within the first few days of Summer Camp, letting you know what day during the week you can expect water play, and any other important information you may need to know.
Although we tried to continue delivery from Wholesome Tummies during the summer, we have been unable to make that happen. If you were ordering lunches from them during the school year, that option will become available once again in the fall. In the meantime, you will need to pack a lunch for your child each day, with the exception of Fridays. We will be offering Pizza Friday EVERY FRIDAY during the summer. If you would like your child to participate, please stop by the front desk to receive more information.
We will be hosting Donuts with Dad on Friday, June 17th, from 8:15-9:00 AM. Please plan to join us for coffee and donuts.
We are looking forward to a summer that is filled with sun, fun, and friends.
If you are not joining us for the summer, I hope you have a wonderful, safe summer and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces in the fall.
