Nut Free: We are a NUT FREE school. We do have some students with nut allergies and appreciate your help in keeping all of our children safe and healthy.
California Licensing Regulations require that parents check children in and out using our electronic system.
Tuition Options: We appreciate that you make every effort to make your tuition payments on time. As you are aware, tuition payments are due on Monday of each week (or on your child’s first day of attendance). To save you time, the headache of having to remember your checkbook every Monday and to avoid those pesky late fees, consider enrolling in our automatic payment program at no charge. We are also accepting credit card payments. You may also use our new Parent Portal. Please talk to Sue or Aubrey for more information.
LTH Binders: Our Links to Home Binders are located either just outside or right inside your child’s classroom door. Please make it a point to check these daily. We send Ouch Reports, Merry-Grams and other school information home via these binders. They are a great communication tool!
Art Files: Please remember to check them at least once a week to pick up your child’s amazing art work.
LTL Files: Links to Learning files are available on the last day of each month. These files provide you with information about the skills your child will learning in the upcoming month, as well as a snapshot of what has been accomplished in the current month through the work you will find in the folder.
Clothing and Nap Items: Remember to update your child’s extra clothing as the seasons change and your child grows! Please label all of their items so we can return anything that may be forgotten at the end of the day. Any soiled items will be placed in plastic bags and put into your child’s cubby. Each child needs a blanket and crib size sheet for rest time. Sheets and blankets must be taken home on Fridays (or you child’s last day of attendance during the week), laundered and returned on the first day of attendance.
Merryhill Elementary School: If you are interested in having your child stay with Merryhill School for kindergarten and beyond, please visit our elementary campus at 1115 Orlando Ave. in Roseville, just off of I-80 and Riverside Ave. The school contact information is 916-783-3010 or connie.curiel@nlcinc.com.
July 2018 News
Message from the Principal:
Hello Rocklin Merryhill Families!
Summer is in full swing and we are enjoying every minute of it. The month of July kicks off our Kids Helping Kids program. This year we will be collecting new and gently used children’s books and school supplies to donate to the Mustard Seed School. We can’t wait to share the results of this project with you!
Please know that we are very aware of the spiking temperatures and sometimes unhealthy air quality. Once the temperature hits that 95 degree mark, we minimize the amount of time our students spend outside. The same is true for those bad air days. We play outside as much as possible in the mornings and provide alternative activities for the afternoons. Our SPARK physical education program offers many indoor activities that allow for big body play and getting the wiggles out! For those days we do spend time outdoors, please make sure your child has sunscreen and we’ll be sure to apply it prior to going outside to play. The sunscreen release forms are in the front office for your convenience.
Don’t forget about our Water play Wednesdays! The kids are having a great time splashing around! We also use our water play days to help teach about sun and water safety. We always manage to sneak in some curriculum while they are engaged in water play!
While some of our classes are already full, we do have openings in others. We appreciate the family members and friends you refer to us and offer a tuition credit when you do! Please see Aubrey or me for more information.
We are looking forward to a new school year with our students. They seem to be adjusting well to their new classrooms and teachers. Please don’t hesitate to speak with me if you have any questions or concerns regarding student transitions (or any other issues!).
Warmly,
Sue Stewart
Principal
