April News

Dear Parents,

While Merryhill School remains closed due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we are happy to report that our Distance Learning Plan is off to a great start.

The children have been receiving lessons each week in order to stay connected and to keep learning.  All lessons support our Links to Learning curriculum and allow for your child’s learning to continue.

We are excited to report that we will begin live Zoom sessions with our Distance Learning families in the very near future.  We have a wonderful Distance Learning Team, consisting of Ms. Monique, Ms. Kathy form our Admin office and Ms. Rosemary, Ms. Paulina and Ms. Julie from our talented teaching staff.  While we are still sorting out the small details, we hope to have this started the week of April 6th.  We are excited to see everyone soon.

Every year in Spring we hold our annual Spring Egg Hunt – this year, our hunt will be virtual.  We are asking that you please work together with your child to decorate an egg that you can hang in one of the front windows of your home.  It is our hope that as families walk their neighborhood, the children will “find” these eggs to put in their “basket”.  Let all your neighbors, friends and co-workers know so that they can add eggs to their windows as well.

We hope to be back together soon – in the meantime, please email me at Susan.Freitag@merryhillschool.com if you would like information on our distance learning program – we would be happy to get you started.

Stay safe and don’t forget to send us pictures of your distant learning!

Ms. Susan
