Operation Christmas Child -We packed 80 gift boxes for 80 friends!

Every year our students talk about hunger and basic needs awareness. Our students collect basic needs items such as socks, shoes, clothing, toys, educational supplies, and etc. for a child in the same age group as themselves. They sort all the items during a “Packing Party” and pack enough to fill a shoebox for their international friends overseas. This year due to Covid 19, our students added a virtual component and students were able to go online and pack 31 boxes virtually! Our students packed 29 giftboxes here on campus and they collaborated with the community to donate another 20 boxes. We packed 80 giftboxes for 80 friends. Though we didn’t do the total we had last year with 48 students, we collected 80 giftboxes with 12 students. We felt very successful. We will share pictures with you as soon as the photo release goes out. Thank you again for all of your support in this amazing gift gifting event for children in 3rd world countries.

Report cards and Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher conferences went very successful as parents and teachers collaborated in assessing our students. Thank you parents for your feedback.

We also shared parent resources regarding the following items; report cards, parental styles, tips on getting children to eat, developmental milestones, and positive discipline. If you were not able to make it or would like a second copy of these resources please email me at lucy.nunez@merryhillschool.com
