A Note From Our Principal
The children had so much fun learning all about the animals this past few week through stories and collaborating together of what they could do to help the animals from The Front Street Shelter in Sacramento. We are grateful for the opportunity to watch our students serve others during our Kids helping kids project and appreciate the role you all had in this. Now that the month of August is upon us and we are super excited of all of the wonderful events we have planned for our families here at Merryhill-Pocket! This week we are kicking off All Fun and Games week with an amazing Puppet show called “Friendship Skills” for the kids to enjoy from Tony Borders. This will give the children a chance to learn all about how to build those friendships. Also, on Friday, August 26th we would like to invite you to a Family Sock Hop & BBQ from 4:30 pm- 6 pm. So bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to dance the afternoon away to the hand jive!
I know you have a lot of schools to choose from for your child to go to and I couldn’t be more grateful that you have made Merryhill your choice of schools!

As we get ready to kick off a new school year, we want to make sure you’re kept in the know. In addition to this newsletter, the “For Parents” section of our website also includes links to our menu, monthly calendar, and school year calendar. If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child, you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type “Links 2 Home” in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading, you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school.
Parent Referral Bonus & Open House
Do you know a colleague who has recently had a baby, a friend in need of care who just relocated to the area, or a family member who is seeking a new preschool for their child? Invite them to our Open House on August 6th. When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!
