A Note from Our Principal
The year is off to a great start and we’re enjoying spending the winter season with you and your children. If you have not already done so, please send an extra set of weather-appropriate clothes for your child. We want everyone to be able to participate in the fun outdoor activities we have planned, so please be sure to provide appropriate outerwear. As always, working with and watching your children grow is an honor. Thank you for choosing our preschool for your family.
Sincerely,
Erika Van Rhyn
Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Our students will learn about local and influential African Americans through books, learning experiences, and classroom discussions. Additionally, we will be hosting a Black History Art Exhibit at our Elementary school on February 22nd and 23rd. We encourage all families to stop by and see the wonderful artwork your children have created.
Valentine’s Day
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14th. Children are invited to bring in valentines to share with their classmates and will participate in Valentine-themed activities throughout the day. This is a free dress day! Please check with your child’s teacher to see what fun things they have planned for their classroom.
