Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Merryhill Preschool North Natomas Is Built on Safety & Care We know that trust is earned one day at a time, and it starts with keeping your child safe. Merryhill Preschool North Natomas follows comprehensive health and safety practices and stays current with local and state health department guidance to protect the well-being of every student and staff member. Building Security Entry to our building is limited to registered families, staff, and approved visitors, and every visitor must check in at the front desk, show ID, and wear a visitor badge while on site. We require prior pick-up authorization from families, and we verify ID against an approved list every time a child is picked up. Illness Prevention & Care We ask families to keep a child home if they’re feeling sick in the morning, so they can recover before returning to school. If a child becomes ill during the day, we’ll care for them and call you to arrange pick-up. Children also practice covering coughs and sneezes and washing their hands. Commitment to Clean Because young children can catch germs easily, our staff cleans classrooms and common areas often, focusing on frequently touched surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Cleaning products are always handled with care and stored in locked cabinets, out of reach of students. Trusted Teachers Our educators undergo extensive background checks and interviews before joining our team. They receive training in child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management, and they know how to stay calm and respond quickly in an emergency. Every child at Merryhill Preschool is known by name, so nothing, and no one, gets overlooked.
