Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety How Merryhill Preschool North Summerlin Keeps Your Child Happy & Safe Peace of mind starts with knowing your child is safe. At Merryhill Preschool North Summerlin, providing a healthy and nurturing learning environment is our highest priority, and we back that commitment with comprehensive health and safety practices aligned with local and state health department guidance. Secure Entry Access to our campus is limited to registered families, staff, and approved visitors, and every visitor checks in at the front desk, shows ID, and wears a badge while on site. We require prior authorization for pick-up, and we check ID and confirm approved pick-up lists before releasing any child. Protecting Healthy Children We ask families to keep children home if they’re feeling sick in the morning, so they can rest and recover before returning. If a child becomes ill during the school day, we care for them right away and call you to arrange pick-up. Children also learn healthy habits like covering coughs and sneezes and washing their hands. Cleaning Routine Young children are especially susceptible to germs, so our staff cleans classrooms and common areas frequently, paying close attention to doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Every cleaning product is used carefully and stored in locked cabinets, safely out of children’s reach. Well-Trained Staff Every educator on our team completes extensive background checks and interviews before joining us. Training covers child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management, preparing our teachers to stay calm and act fast in an emergency. We hold to a face-to-name rule so every child is known, watched, and accounted for, all day long.
