Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Keeping Merryhill Lone Tree Safe & Healthy At Merryhill Preschool Lone Tree, safety is the starting point for everything else we do, including helping your child build confidence, independence, and resilience. We hold ourselves to comprehensive health and safety practices and stay current with guidance from local and state health departments. Secure Campus Access to our building is limited to registered families, staff, and approved visitors. Every visitor checks in at the front desk, shows ID, and wears a visitor badge while they’re here. Each adult authorized to drop off or pick up has their own personal code to check children in and out. We require prior authorization for pick-up, and we always verify ID against our approved list. If an emergency contact needs to pick up your child, please let us know ahead of time. They’ll need to bring ID and check in with an administrator. Keeping Germs Away If your child feels sick in the morning, please keep them home until they’re feeling better. Our teachers do health observations every day, and we follow our illness and exclusion policies closely to protect the whole community. If illness develops during the school day, we’ll care for your child and call you to arrange pick-up. We also teach children to cover their coughs and sneezes and to wash their hands often. Sparkling Spaces Young children can get sick easily, so our staff cleans classrooms and common areas often, with extra attention to doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Cleaning products are always used carefully and stored in locked cabinets, safely out of children’s reach. Our leadership team also visits our classrooms daily to find and fix concerns early and keep every space safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate. Trusted Teachers Our teachers complete extensive background checks and interviews, and they’re trained in child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management. They stay calm and act fast in an emergency. Every child is known by name, which means your child is never overlooked, only ever known.
