Message from the Principal
Dear Merryhill Families,
As we bring in the new year, it is always a joy to look back at how far we have come this past year. As a school, we underwent a MAJOR renovation of the entire building. We celebrated our Grand Re-Opening in March. This past year the children enjoyed our brand new playground. We also pushed the level of training of our teachers to the next level in regards to our Links to Learning curriculum, and it has come alive like never before in the classrooms. The children this past year have really grasped the concept of balancing learning and play, and I cannot wait to see where this next year takes us.
The only way we came out of this past year of transition and triumph is with the assistance of our amazing team at Merryhill AND our wonderful Merryhill families. We have been blessed to share our time this past year with your amazing students, and we are so grateful to starting a new year moving forward with you all. Speaking of moving forward, we have a number of dates you will want to mark your calendars for coming up. I have posted the remainder of the school year calendar of events on our calendar.
Additionally, I want to take this time to make a note that the health and safety of our students are our top priority at Merryhill. Now that weather is getting cooler and it is getting darker sooner, a few key points need to be pointed out. Please be sure to send your child with a weather appropriate jacket and clothing for the day. Also, our parking lot is very busy with parents dropping off and picking up at the same time. Please drive at a maximum speed of 5 mph whether there are other cars present or not. When pulling out of parking spaces, please do so being aware that children and parents are walking to cars parked on the streets. We have had a number of parents make comments that they have felt unsafe, and I am hoping now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has passed, that we are able to assure a safe environment for students at all times. Last, but not least, I have included the child safety seat laws effective January 2017.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns about anything regarding the program or Merryhill, please feel free to reach me at your convenience via email or phone at 530-753-9210.
Sincerely,
Jherica McEndree
Principal

Parent Assurance Review Survey Distribution
- It’s that time of year again– when we ask for your anonymous opinion of how we are doing as a program, school, provider. Please keep an eye out in your email for a request to complete this survey, as it may go to your junk email. Take a moment to complete this survey, as we use the information to improve our program, gauge what you like and dislike, where we should invest more resources, and so much more! I want to thank you ahead of time for completing this simple survey, as it truly does help us create a better experience for your children while in our care.
