Only At Calvine

We understand that parents have many choices for their child’s education. From other prestigious local private schools to top-notch area public schools the competition is fierce. So what makes families choose Merryhill Elementary & Middle School and stay until their child graduates? The fact that so many great things can be found #OnlyAtCalvine. Let us tell you more.

Better Together

At Merryhill Calvine, we gather together at the beginning of every day because we are truly better together. Our lower grades have Grateful Gatherings and our upper grades have SAVERS. These healthy morning routines set the students up for success not only that day, but throughout their time at Merryhill. These gatherings provide the opportunity to journal and recite positive affirmations, as well as offer a chance to get advice and support from their peers and our loving staff. It’s not just what we do, it’s who we are.

Our Special Projects
Community Projects
Project Based Learning is an essential part of a Merryhill education. Every year, each class must do at least one project based learning unit that focuses on “community.” Students are always encouraged to seek out local connections and see how they can truly make a difference. Whether it’s all our elementary students raising $5,000 for Faces of Tomorrow to help children with similar deformities as the main character of “Wonder”, or our Kindergarteners composing letters and assembling care packages for veterans, Merryhill is all about forging lifelong connections and building a better society.
Physical Education
We believe our students need to exercise their bodies just as much as their minds. We encourage students of all ages to get active and engaged. It can help relieve stress from academics and also help them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Physical education is an outlet for many students. It fosters a sense of teamwork and lightheartedness that they can carry with them throughout their courses.
1st Grade Habitats
First graders at Merryhill Calvine turn their classroom into a habitat for their biology and environmental studies. They take what they learn about ecosystems and life on Earth to the zoo to see real life habitats in action.
I.D.E.A. Studio

Standing for Inspire, Design, Engineer, and Analyze, our I.D.E.A. studio is a technology and innovation lab where students of all grades can create and design. This space plays a key role in our after school program, where we focus on robotics, coding, and art.

Equipped with a 3D printer, a green screen, and ample computers, there is no shortage of expression and imagination here.
