Only At Roseville

We understand that parents have many choices for their child’s education. From other prestigious local private schools to top-notch area public schools the competition is fierce. So what makes families choose Merryhill Elementary School and stay until their child graduates? The fact that so many great things can be found #OnlyAtRoseville. Let us tell you more.

Student Led, Compassion Driven

Student Council provides the opportunity for students of any grade to take initiative to not only represent themselves, but make a difference in our community. Twice a year, the Student Council chooses a charity and directs some form of fundraising. For example, they have hosted a donation drive collecting toys, household goods, and cleaning supplies to help foster families around Christmas time. Our school has also participated in Jump Rope for Heart, to raise donations to fight heart disease! We even host Spirit Days where students can show their school pride and also have fun dressing up for different events!

2nd Grade Animal Farm Project
Our 2nd graders have a “farm-tastic” time as they research the work involved in building a working farm. This unit primarily focuses on science study with lessons on farm animal arrays and creating weather charts. But it also encompasses math with the practice of perimeter measurement (setting up fencing) and language arts by introducing new weather verbs or farm nouns.
6th Grade Coffee House Presentations
Our sixth grade class flexed their public speaking and technology skills by giving “coffee house” presentations on a board game idea or a book report. The coffee house style allows students to tout their knowledge and digital literacy, but also connect with their classmates and practice speaking confidently in front of others.
Technology Clubs
Many of our students participate in Technology Club because they love to engage with the many devices our school has to offer outside the classroom. This club allows students to imagine, design, and create. Whether it be coding, robotics, or research, Tech Club fuels a love of discovery.
Tech Savvy Students

As an Apple Distinguished School, Merryhill Roseville equips all students with the tools to become tech savvy learners. They use iPads to express their creative sides while also incorporating academics. Held once a trimester, Student Led Conferences are a chance for students to track progress and set goals. Within that, they utilize technology to create presentations for their conference with software such as KeyNote and iMovies.
