Mr. Boston Ferrerra - Music

Hello Merryhill students and parents! This last year has been such a great school year. Though challenging, we persevered. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and I can’t wait to see you all come back next year!

For those who don’t know me, here is a little bit about myself: This is will be my fifth year here at Merryhill Elementary. Before, I taught at two elementary schools in San Juan Unified as an after-school choir teacher. I am an alumnus of Fresno State “Go Dogs!” and received my degree in Music Education. I worked on the Bulldog Marching Band¬† student council as webmaster, and tuba section leader for 3 years. Additionally, I worked as the video/sound tech for the Fresno State music department, and a local church. My main instrument is tuba but I can play many others!¬†Currently I am working towards my single subject teaching credential and masters degree in critical thinking.

I am a proud owner of a Golden Doodle pup named Stella! She is a very fun and energetic and absolutely loves to get dirty during play time. In my spare time I play tuba in the Sierra Nevada Winds Ensemble, teach at the high school level as an instructor during the marching band season, and I dabble in wood working.

Coming soon, my schedule will be listed as well as my classroom SMORE for the 2020/21 school year! Please check it regularly! I post classroom resources, study material, and educational videos, and information about music related events! Hope to see you all in the classroom and ready to learn music! Have a fantastic day!
