Welcome to our Spanish class. I am very excited to begin this school year. This year we begin by Distance Learning. My name is Mrs. Leticia De Alba. I would like to share with you a brief history of my personal and teaching back ground. I am from Mexico. I have two bachelors’ degrees in education. I have been teaching at Merryhill Roseville for many years. I truly believe in Merryhills’ high standards and curriculum. I am very happy to have you in my classroom.
Spanish is an integral part of the core curriculum as well as a key in the preparation of students to be effective participants in the global community of the present and future. Students will develop the skills necessary to communicate effectively in a second language and understand the relationship between culture and language. The curriculum will engage students in meaningful experiences, using authentic content that integrates Spanish with other disciplines. The language learning is experiential; students are engage and learning by doing. As students are provided with repeated exposure and opportunities to practice and apply their skills, they will develop a meaningful use of the language.
I am pleased that you will be part of our classroom community for 2020-2021 school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (916) 783-3010 or leticiadealba@nlcinc.com
