Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Keeping Merryhill Preschool Summerlin Healthy & Safe Behind every day of play and learning at Merryhill Preschool Summerlin is a system built to keep your child safe. We follow comprehensive health and safety practices and stay closely aligned with guidance from local and state health departments, so families can trust us with what matters most. Campus Safety Access to our building is limited to registered families, staff, and approved visitors. Every visitor checks in at the front desk, shows ID, and wears a visitor badge while on campus. We require prior authorization for pick-up, and we always check ID against our approved list before releasing a child. Keeping Germs at Bay If your child feels sick in the morning, we ask that you keep them home until they’re feeling better. If a child becomes ill while at school, we’ll care for them and call you to come pick them up. We also teach children to cover their coughs and sneezes and to wash their hands regularly. A Commitment to Clean Because young children can get sick easily, our staff cleans classrooms and common areas often, with extra attention to doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Cleaning products are always used carefully and stored in locked cabinets, safely out of children’s reach. Experienced Educators Every teacher completes thorough background checks and interviews before joining our team, and each receives training in child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management. They stay calm and act fast in an emergency. We hold to a face-to-name rule, so your child is never just a number. They’re known, watched, and safe.
