Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Safety, Health, & Happiness at Merryhill Preschool Davis Every parent wants the same thing when they drop their child off: peace of mind. At Merryhill Preschool Davis, we earn that trust through comprehensive health and safety practices and by staying current with guidance from local and state health departments. Controlled Building Access We limit entry to our campus to registered families, staff, and approved visitors. Anyone visiting checks in at the front desk, shows identification, and wears a visitor badge for the duration of their stay. Pick-up always requires prior family authorization, and we verify ID against our approved list. Healthy Habits Start Here A sick child needs rest at home, so we ask that families keep children home if they’re feeling unwell in the morning. If a child becomes ill during the school day, our staff will care for them and call you promptly. Children also practice covering coughs and sneezes and washing their hands often. Clean Environments Young children can pick up germs easily, so our team cleans classrooms and common areas throughout the day, with extra focus on doorknobs, light switches, and toys. All cleaning products are handled with care and stored in locked cabinets, out of reach of students. Teachers You Can Trust Every educator on our team completes a thorough background check and interview process before joining us. Training covers child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management, preparing our teachers to stay calm and act quickly in an emergency. Every child here is known by name, not just a face in the room.
