Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Building a Safe & Happy Start at Merryhill Preschool Stockton Before children can be curious, confident, and independent, they need to feel safe. At Merryhill Preschool Stockton, that’s exactly what we provide: a healthy, nurturing environment built on comprehensive health and safety practices that follow current guidance from local and state health departments. Protected Campus Our campus welcomes only registered families, staff, and approved visitors. Every visitor checks in at the front desk, shows identification, and wears a visitor badge throughout their visit. Because we take pick-up seriously, families provide prior authorization, and we always verify ID against our approved list. Keeping Germs at Bay A healthy classroom starts at home, so we ask that children who feel sick in the morning stay home to rest. If illness strikes during the school day, we’ll care for your child and call you right away. We also teach children good habits, like covering coughs and sneezes and washing their hands often. Clean Spaces Because germs spread quickly among young children, our staff cleans classrooms and common areas throughout the day, focusing on doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Cleaning products are handled with care and kept in locked cabinets, well out of students’ reach. High-Quality Educators Our teachers pass thorough background checks and interviews before joining our team, and they’re trained in child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management. They know how to stay calm and act fast. And because every child is known by name, your child is never overlooked. They’re seen, known, and safe, every single day.
