Health & Safety Home / About Us / Health & Safety Merryhill Preschool Aurora Is Built on Safety & Care Before your child can thrive, they need to feel safe, and that starts with us. Safety underpins everything at Merryhill Preschool Aurora, and we back it with comprehensive health and safety practices that stay current with guidance from local and state health departments. Campus Security Only registered families, staff, and approved visitors can enter our building. Every visitor checks in at the front desk, shows ID, and wears a visitor badge for the length of their stay. Pick-up always requires prior family authorization, and we verify ID against our approved list, every time, no exceptions. Sick Policy A child who’s feeling unwell in the morning needs rest at home, not a classroom. If your child becomes ill during the school day, we’ll step in to care for them right away and call you to arrange pick-up. We also teach children healthy habits, like covering coughs and sneezes and washing their hands often. Cleaning Routine Young children are quick to catch germs, so our staff cleans classrooms and common areas throughout the day, with close attention to doorknobs, light switches, and toys. Cleaning products are always handled with care and kept in locked cabinets, out of reach of little hands. Quality Educators Every educator on our team passes a thorough background check and interview before ever stepping into a classroom, and each completes training in child abuse awareness and prevention, CPR, allergy protocol, first aid, supervision, and behavior management, so they can stay calm and act fast when it matters. Every child is known by name, every day, so nothing about your child slips past us.
