It is my pleasure to welcome you to middle school. This is my fourth year of teaching at Merryhill School. I have been a part of the team for six years. I am glad to be a part of the Merryhill School community.
The school year will bring many exciting adventures and new challenges. We will explore new vocabulary and new skills. We thrive to build a classroom and school community of leaders. Our classroom curriculum encourages learning and responsibility, as well as family participation. My students will be challenged, but have fun in the learning process.

5th grade: We are currently on Module 9 “Understand and Apply Multiplication of Mixed Numbers”. Students will solve real world problems involving multiplication of fractions and mixed numbers.
6th grade: We are currently on Module 8 “Numerical and Algebraic Expressions “. Students will write and evaluate an numerical and algebraic expressions.
7th grade: We are currently on Module 11 “Analyze Surface Area and Volume”. Students will solve multi-step problems involving three-dimensional figures using formulas for surface area and volume.
8th grade: We are currently on Module 11 “The Pythagorean Theorem”. Students will use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve real-world problems involving right triangles.
6th Grade: Polygons on Coordinate Plane, Area of Triangles/Quadrilaterals, Surface Area/Volume, Percent, Operations with Decimals, Numerical and Algebraic Expressions, Equations/Inequalities, Ratios/Rates, Integers, Rational Numbers Concepts
7th Grade: Proportional Relationships-Fractions/Percent, Operations with Rational Numbers, Expressions/Equations, Inequalities, Circumference/Area of a Circle, Surface Area-Prisms, Probability
