Welcome to Merryhill Durango Physical Education & Wellness
Aloha! My name is Rylan Nakahata and I am the PE & Health Teacher at Merryhill Durango. I am originally from the island of Oahu, Hawaii, but relocated to the Las Vegas area in 2007. I studied Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences at UNLV and have many years experience in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
I now reside in Las Vegas with my wife and son (6), two cats, and a dog. I enjoy watching all sports and enjoy nature and the outdoors. My favorite sports teams are the Los Angeles Angels (MLB), Vegas Golden Knights (NHL), and UNLV and University of Hawaii athletics.
I have been with Merryhill School since 2021.
