My name is Michael Egan, and this is my third year teaching at Merryhill Midtown. Before this, I worked in various educational settings across California for 10 years. I graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelors of Arts, with a minor in Art History. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and camping with my family.

The aim of this year’s 6th grade English Language Arts program is to improve student reading comprehension skills and engaging in analysis while exploring a variety of topics and genres. The class will focus on the following areas: Literature, Composition, Grammar, Usage and Mechanics, and Vocabulary.
This year, I will also be teaching a section of 6th grade Social Studies, where we will be learning to see the world around us through the lens of a historian.
