Welcome to Third Grade! I’m Mrs. DeCoursey and I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning with you.

Third Grade Highlights:

• We will develop our understanding of multiplication, division, and fractions.
• We will begin novel studies which will allow us to sharpen our comprehension, strengthen our vocabulary, and make interdisciplinary connections.
• We will write for a variety of purposes including to tell a story, teach about a topic, and share our opinion.
• We will expand our knowledge of plant and animal adaptations, environmental changes and effects, and fossils.

Homework

Students  receive a weekly homework packet on Monday and turn it in on Friday. They also receive a weekly spelling list . The weekly spelling list can be found on Schoology.
