Mr. Gould has been teaching throughout the community for over 20 years and has been with Merryhill for the past 12 years in various facets. His speciality is in science, especially Anthropology and Archaeology, though he has taught mathematics and social studies as well. He holds a degree from Sacramento State in Anthropology and worked a few years for the Archaeological Research Center as a field and lab technician doing fieldwork on surveys and archaeological digs; this is where he trained in the vocational skills of Archaeology while developing a deep understanding and appreciation for Science, History, and Culture (as well as meeting his wife!). He has also worked in Special Education for San Juan Unified School District with ASD students, learning alternative communication and teaching practices before joining the Merryhill family. In addition to teaching, his wife and he are busy raising their 6 and 8 year old daughters while enjoying the outdoors, painting, cooking, tinkering, and pretty much anything “Nerd Culture.”
