Mrs. Vaida Jureviciene - 4th-8th Grade Technology

Welcome to Mrs. Vaida’s Computer Education Class 2019-2020

My name is Vaida Jureviciene, and it is my pleasure to introduce myself as your child’s computer education teacher. This will be my sixteenth year at Merryhill School. I am excited about the year ahead and the journey we will take, there is no place I would rather be, and no job that I would rather have. I believe that education is the key to success not only for students but for adults too. That’s why after finishing Building University in Lithuania I realized that my love to children and experience bringing up my own children could be embodied in working at school. To achieve this, I graduated from the Technology University in Lithuania and worked as a programming engineer and a computer technology teacher since 1997, in 2002 I was awarded the Senior Teacher’s Qualification. I increased students’ learning grade at my previous school in Lithuania by creating a warm environment in class, making students active participants in learning process in taking the best features from their teachers that is becoming responsible, creative and wishing to know more.As a teacher here, in the USA, I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions and become more confident in their abilities. My overseas experience in European culture can be a stimulating advantage in implementing tolerance and good relationships among students. I have always strived for perfection. School is a place where it can be achieved both by students and teachers together. We can learn from each other teaching ourselves to be more tolerant, seeking our life aim. I love working with children and will continue to strive to be a positive influence in their lives.
I believe my role as the teacher is that of a facilitator to help students develop critical thinking ability, communication skills, teamwork, and most importantly, a lifelong love of learning.  I also believe teaching is a two way process.   Please stop by and share your thoughts in the traditional way of communication or email me any constructive and creative thoughts to make this school year a better experience both for me and my dear students.
