A Note from the Principal’s Desk: Love is in the air! 💖 We would like to take a moment to thank all the families who have re-registered for the 2026–2027 school year. We look forward to continuing to share so much love, laughter, and wonderful memories with our Merryhill families. This month, we are celebrating many important occasions, including the 100th Day of School, Valentine’s Day, Black History Month, Lunar New Year, Ramadan, and National Children’s Dental Health Month.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH:
During Black History Month, the children will be about influential African Americans whose contributions have shaped our country. A few of the people we will be learning about is Rosa Parks, Bob Marley, George Washington Carver, and Frederick Douglas.
LUNAR NEW YEAR:
The children will be learning about the Lunar New Year, a cultural celebration observed in many countries around the world. Through stories, art, and discussions, we will explore traditions, symbols and ways families celebrate the new year.
RAMADAN:
The children will be learning about the Ramadan celebration, its meaning, traditions, and the values it represents.
100th Day of School:
We are excited to share that our 100th Day of School celebration is just around the corner! To make this day unforgettable, we are inviting our students to dress up as if they are 100 years old. It’s a fun and creative way to celebrate this big milestone together! Our special celebration will take place on Monday, February 2nd. There’s no need to purchase new clothes or accessories—let’s get creative and use items you already have at home! If you would like Amazon has some great ideas as well.
Thank you and have a wonderful month!
Ms. Robin
Principal

Celebrating Diversity and Growing Kindness in Our Preschool
Diversity makes our world a beautiful and interesting place, and we believe it should be celebrated from the very start. At our preschool, children learn about the cultures and traditions within our own community, as well as those from around the world. When young children explore both differences and similarities, they begin to understand that while people may look, speak, dress, or live in many ways, we all share the same need for kindness, respect, and connection.
Learning about other people and ways of life helps children grow into caring, thoughtful individuals. It builds empathy, encourages curiosity, and teaches respect for others. Below are a few of the ways we bring these important lessons to life in our classrooms each day.
