Hello Parents, the holiday season is upon us and I know many of you have plenty of things on your list to do. However, I am asking everyone to press pause for a second and count the things that you are grateful for. We here at Merryhill Frisco are all about giving back to the community and we like to continue by asking all parents to participate in “Our Day of Caring”. Each year we partner with Metro Relief Shelter to donate items to families in need. This year we are trying to reach at least a 1000 items to donate and we need your help. The shelter is in need of baby clothes, canned and boxed goods, socks, hats, coats, and personal hygiene products. Each classroom will have a drop off box located outside the class to donate your items. All items will need to be donated by Nov. 18th at 9:00 a.m. in order for them to be delivered.
Also this month we will be closed for teacher in-service on Monday, Nov.9th please make other arrangements for your child on this day. Parents Night Out will be held on Friday, December 13th form 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Please sign up at the front desk no later than Wednesday, November 11th. Purple for Peace Day – all children are asked to come dressed in purple. Our day of caring will be held on Nov.19th at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday, November 19th we will have our Thanksgiving Feast and we are asking all parents to attend. Please sign the R.S.V.P. log up front in order for us to get a correct head count. School will close at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday and we will open on Monday, Nov.30th at our normal business hours.
